Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings. You will work on-site at one or more hospitals, providing education to parents about the importance of screening and early intervention.

On-the-job training is provided, including annual American Academy of Audiology certification. You will ensure data collection, documentation, and timely reporting while maintaining safety protocols and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 95% of shift and push/pull up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents about the importance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Collect data/demographics and ensure complete documentation.
• Upload screen results, billing, and state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-ups.
