Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and provide education to parents on early intervention. The role requires ensuring screen readiness, documenting results, and coordinating follow-up for referred babies.

On-the-job training and annual AAA-accredited certification are provided. The technician will work on-site at hospital locations, support families with compassionate care, and maintain strict documentation and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens and provide education to parents on the importance of screening.
• Evaluate newborn readiness before screening and screen only when baby is calm.
• Collect data and demographics, perform screens, and document results per protocol.
• Provide compassionate care and information to families during screening.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
