Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group in the United States is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site newborn hearing screens in hospital settings and provide parent education. You will receive on-the-job training with annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology to ensure accuracy and timely intervention.

As an entry-level healthcare role, you will screen babies, maintain documentation, and coordinate follow-up appointments as needed, with a strong emphasis on patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient for screen readiness to ensure reliable results.
• Collect all necessary data/demographics and perform the hearing screen during each shift.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by the end of each shift; reconcile statistics.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies; schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
