Job summary

Bunzl Distribution is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Metro New York territory. You will drive new business and manage existing distributor accounts in a field-based B2B role, promoting disposable products, packaging and safety lines.

Responsibilities include establishing pricing, forecasting, and building strong distributor relationships. Travel within the territory and collaboration with internal teams are required for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience.
• Experience in at least one of: food/meat processing, industrial processing, plant operating supplies, PPE or related safety items.
• Experience selling in paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation or food service distribution.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales through prospecting and building business with new distributor accounts.
• Manage and expand existing customer relationships with exceptional service and growth.
• Meet or exceed sales and margin KPIs.
• Provide outstanding service to build relationships and drive future sales growth.
• Promote Bunzl products and internal house brands.
• Implement and manage pricing strategies within accounts.
• Plan weekly customer visits with clear objectives.
• Present monthly recaps of targets to sales leadership.
• Develop understanding of Bunzl products and demonstrate benefits with samples or catalogs.
• Establish and grow new accounts.
• Provide accurate sales forecast to operations and leadership.
• Evaluate pricing to protect margins.
• Participate in Industry Association Functions and events.
• Collaborate with vendors on packaging solutions.
