Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience in Cedar Rapids Community Schools.
• Experience collaborating with building leadership and colleagues on instructional practices and mentoring.
• Strong communication, organization, and technology skills; growth mindset and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Support new-to-district teachers with instructional practices, classroom management, differentiating instruction, and culture.
• Collaborate with building leadership and teachers while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in job-embedded professional development focused on new-to-district needs and provide actionable feedback on practices.
• Participate in professional learning aimed at supporting new teachers to the district/ profession.
• Assist with building and district policies and procedures through guidance to new colleagues.
