Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience in Cedar Rapids Community Schools.
• Experience mentoring or coaching teachers is preferred.
• Ability to analyze student work and differentiate instruction.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Support new-to-district teachers with professional practices, including instructional strategies, classroom management, analyzing student work, differentiating instruction, building class culture and climate, supporting ELL, and students with special needs.
• Collaborate with building leadership and teachers while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in job-embedded professional development for new-to-district teacher needs.
• Provide actionable feedback on professional practices.
• Participate in professional learning focused on supporting new teachers to the profession or district.
• Support new colleagues with building- and district-level policies and procedures.
