The US Oncology Network’s Texas Oncology unit is seeking a New Patient Coordinator for a full-time, weekday schedule in Dallas. You will support new patient intake, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring accurate registrations and smooth onboarding.

Under supervision, you’ll manage referrals, coordinate with clinical teams, and maintain patient records across systems while upholding HIPAA and compliance standards. Strong communication and office software skills are essential.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years patient access and/or referral management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of multiple PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and referral management best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) required.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days of starting.

• Serve as liaison between referring providers, clinical teams, and new patients to ensure timely coordination of care.
• Manage full continuum of the new patient referral process for efficient referrals.
• Assess patient needs to prioritize referrals based on clinical urgency.
• Follow up with referring providers to obtain missing medical records and documents.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information.
• Create and update patient accounts in the practice management system.
• Conduct insurance eligibility and benefits investigations.
• Provide patients with clear information on appointment logistics.
• Distribute and review new patient paperwork and educational resources.
• Coordinate physician schedules to optimize new patient onboarding.
• Collaborate with teams to handle scheduling needs and changes smoothly.
• Ensure patient records are accurately documented in systems.
• Escalate complex issues to supervisor for timely resolution.
• Uphold HIPAA and organizational policies in all tasks.
