Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a New Patient Coordinator to join Texas Oncology at the Irving, TX location. This full-time role supports the intake process, coordinating new patient registrations, insurance verification, and scheduling with a patient-centric approach.

You will work closely with revenue cycle, clinical staff, and management to ensure accurate records, timely appointments, and compliant handling of patient information in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years revenue cycle and/or patient access experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the new patient referral process within department standards.
• Provide strong customer service to patients and stakeholders as the first point of contact.
• Assess patient needs to prioritize and triage referrals.
• Answer calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance, and pre-visit information.
• Register patient accounts and facilitate insurance investigations.
• Provide appointment details and distribute forms prior to initial visit.
• Maintain physician schedules and coordinate with clinical staff.
