The US Oncology Network's Texas Oncology location in Irving, TX is hiring a New Patient Coordinator. This full-time role supports the intake process for new patients, coordinating registrations, scheduling exams, and ensuring accurate records in our practice management system.

You will work Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, with no weekends. The ideal candidate has strong organization, understands insurance verification, and delivers compassionate, patient-centered service in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years revenue cycle and/or patient access experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel) required.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days of occupying position.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the continuum of the new patient referral process within department standards.
• Provide strong customer service to patients and stakeholders as the clinic's first contact.
• Independently assess patient needs to prioritize referrals.
• Answers phone calls, takes messages and responds to routine patient, physician, and client inquiries.
• Verifies and registers patient accounts in the practice management system.
• Facilitates insurance benefit and eligibility investigations.
• Maintains and updates patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Schedules patients and coordinates with the clinical team to meet scheduling needs.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and privacy standards.
