Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking an on-site New Patient Referral Coordinator to independently manage the new patient office, acting as the initial contact for Elliot Health System. You will process referrals, contact patients to schedule, verify demographics, and handle records requests within Epic.

You will multitask in a busy environment, ensure accuracy, and maintain logs for production tracking. Per Diem, varied schedule, on-site role across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical office-related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Proficient in navigating Epic electronic medical records.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process all incoming referrals for new and existing patients and contact patients to schedule appointments.
• Assist potential new patients and referring offices with new patient processes, with high volume phone contact and electronic/faxed information.
• Answer and screen incoming calls/inquiries and direct as appropriate.
• Verify demographics, insurance information, and complete new patient referral forms per guidelines.
• Request prior medical records, testing, referrals and ensure information is received before appointments.
• Track referrals at various stages and follow up on pending issues.
• Maintain logs and records to track production for referral office.
