Job summary

Elliot Health System seeks an experienced New Patient Office Coordinator to manage referrals and coordinate scheduling within the Epic EMR environment. The role involves answering a high volume of inquiries, verifying demographics and insurance, and ensuring timely completion of new patient referrals across the health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of medical office experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Epic EMR.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals for new and existing patients and schedule appointments.
• Assist potential new patients and referring offices with new patient processes and large volumes of phone contacts.
• Verify demographics and insurance information and complete new patient referral forms.
• Obtain prior medical records, tests, and referrals and ensure information is received prior to appointment.
• Maintain logs/records to track production for the referral office and use Epic Patient Message to document status.
