Job summary

The Windsor Court in New Orleans seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the property's accounting functions, manage the monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting with strong internal controls.

You will lead the accounting team, collaborate with property leadership and corporate finance, ensure GAAP compliance, and support audits and process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in accounting management, preferably within the property or real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting standards.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with property leadership and corporate finance to align accounting practices with company policies.
• Ensure all financial data is complete, accurate, and prepared in a timely manner.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
