Job summary

You will manage the monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, AP, cash and fixed assets, and support senior Finance leadership with analysis and cross-functional guidance.

The role requires a strong accounting background, leadership skills, and the ability to uphold internal controls in a government contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proven leadership and ability to guide accounting staff and cross-functional teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication across the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes with timelines and journal entries.
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, cash receipts, and banking activities with proper controls.
• Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with policies and government contracting requirements.
• Lead, guide, and develop accounting staff and ensure timely delivery of reporting.
