Job summary

Meritage Homes is seeking a New Home Warranty Associate to supervise warranty-service work across multiple home sites in its communities. You will ensure building codes and Meritage standards are met and address quality issues promptly.

You will participate in the AVID-Customer Satisfaction process, assist with inspections, manage warranty claims and paperwork, and interact with homeowners, subcontractors, and city inspectors to deliver prompt, professional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; construction management coursework preferred.
• At least 1 year of construction experience with supervisory or project oversight experience preferred.
• Advanced training in one or more trades within the residential building industry strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of homebuilding and construction systems/processes, building codes, and the ROC.
• Must be able to read blueprints to maintain quality control and inspect construction aspects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warranty-service work of laborers and sub-contractors at multiple home sites.
• Ensure building codes and Meritage standards are met and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in the AVID-Customer Satisfaction process in assigned communities.
• Assist with inspections and conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Manage customer expectations during construction through homeowner orientation.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, homebuyers, homeowners, and city inspectors.
• Manage assigned warranty claims and paperwork flow, updating reports and sign-offs.
• Maintain warranty reports to assure prompt, professional service to homeowners.
• Interpret warranty claims vs. Meritage warranty manual.
