Job summary

Meritage Homes Corporation seeks an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee homebuilding from start to finish, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate subcontractors, read blueprints, enforce safety standards, and communicate with homeowners and city inspectors to maintain Meritage's standards.

This role requires 4–10 years in construction with supervision, preferred construction management training, and strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management preferred.
• 4–10 years of construction experience with supervisory or project oversight.
• Experience reading blueprints and inspecting framing, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Hyphen is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to deliver quality home.
• Schedule subcontractors and material delivery dates.
• Ensure adherence to building codes and Meritage quality standards.
• Conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Enforce safety on all job sites and communicate safety standards.
• Keep jobsite and subdivision clean and organized.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, customers, and inspectors.
• Attend construction, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
