Job summary

Richmond American Homes, a subsidiary of MDC Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Home Care Warranty Manager to oversee warranty service operations and customer interactions. You will manage daily clerical tasks, prepare warranty reports, and ensure the company is presented professionally in all dealings.

Ideal candidates have experience in homebuilding or warranty administration, strong communication and organizational skills, and a mindset for process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in homebuilding, construction or retail-related customer service.
• Customer service skills and new-home warranty experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction vocabulary.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute warranty reports using Enterprise 1, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Perform quality control walks and orientations.
• Schedule work-site appointments with trade partners and verify completion of warranty work.
• Handle escalated customer service issues to help ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work with others to expedite problem-solving.
• Create and manage office procedures related to Warranty Service Requests and all paperwork procedures.
