Job summary

The Registered Nurse - New Graduate position at NCHA provides a structured orientation and mentorship program to help new graduates transition to professional practice, building confidence and core clinical skills.

You will participate in simulation training, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and advance through hands-on learning while earning a competitive hourly wage and eligibility for a commencement bonus.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN license or eligibility to obtain RN license in practicing state.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification with renewal.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in basic computer and electronic medical records.
• Must pass NCLEX within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a formal orientation with hands-on training and simulation.
• Deliver patient care under supervision following established protocols.
• Engage in simulation training to develop clinical decision-making skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the team.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-treatment care.
• Assist with procedures and management of medical equipment.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
• Reflect on practice and receive feedback from mentors to enhance growth.
• Attend workshops and educational opportunities for professional development.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with standards of nursing practice.
• Respond to patient requests with empathy and provide high service quality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
• Develop leadership and teamwork skills across nursing roles.
