Job summary

CPI Security in Charleston, SC, is hiring a New Construction Security Installation Technician. You will install new construction residential security systems, upsell additional products, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.

You will perform site walkthroughs, configure systems, connect to monitoring, and deliver demonstrations while maintaining safety and professional conduct. Training includes paid hours with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical training is a plus.
• Strong upselling and closing abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
• Familiarity with alarm systems and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Cable installation or low voltage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installing new construction residential security systems accurately and efficiently.
• Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis.
• Performing initial walkthrough to determine optimal system configuration and upsell opportunities.
• Keeping the customer informed about installation steps and potential wall penetrations.
• Designing a system that meets customer needs through needs analysis.
• Connecting in-home system to central monitoring, activating, and demonstrating to customer.
• Submitting billing and payroll paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintaining safety and preventing injury, property damage, or material loss.
• Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
• Consulting with management on issues or concerns.
• Cleaning up work area after installation and maintaining equipment.
