What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs and interests in hosting Book Fairs, setting up appointments for Account Managers
- Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
- Manage a sales pipeline by keeping accurate records in the CRM system and tracking progress towards goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and improve overall sales effectiveness

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation and Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers and customers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Demonstrated leadership ability and qualities in previous roles
- Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
