Job summary

Precision Neuroscience is seeking a Field Clinical Specialist to support intraoperative use and clinical implementation of the Layer 7 device. The role requires guiding clinical research, training staff, and solving technical issues across software and hardware in collaboration with neurosurgical teams.

The candidate will travel up to 70% and must be based in the United States, with on-site or remote work options depending on site location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering, neuroscience, biology or related fields.
• 7+ years of clinical experience in neurosurgery or neurocritical care.
• 2+ years' experience in a field support role or a similar position within a medical device company.
• Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP) and FDA guidelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the clinical research use of the Layer 7 Device, ensuring optimal performance and protocol compliance.
• Assist in clinical experimental design, data collection, documentation, and analysis of clinical data.
• Assist in development and training for clinical staff on surgical workflow for device placement, use, and removal.
• Provide timely troubleshooting support to maintain signal fidelity and data collection ability.
• Prepare and present polished results to internal and external collaborators.
• Relay insights to the team for system/process evolution and study improvements.
