Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics, handling referrals/pre-authorizations, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments, handling checkout, and routing communications while maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 6–18 months experience preferred (PSR I or II) or 3 years preferred (PSR III).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics; check referrals/pre-authorizations.
• Verify insurance coverage and use automated systems.
• Request, accept, and document co-payments or outstanding balances.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments per guidelines.
• Review patient information at checkout and schedule future visits; provide referrals.
• Answer and route calls; manage inbound/outbound communications; prepare documents per HIPAA.
