Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative in the Neurosurgery department in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role supports patient care with reception, registration, insurance verification, and payments, working with a multidisciplinary team. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.

to 5 p.m., with no weekends or holidays. The position offers patient-facing duties, registration duties, and HIPAA-compliant document handling, with a career ladder from PSR I to IV based on

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–18 months experience preferred for PSR I/II or 3 years for PSR III.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients, verify demographics, and collect referrals/pre-authorizations.
• Verify insurance coverage and document verification results.
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at checkout.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments per practice guidelines.
• Review patient information at checkout and arrange referrals.
• Handle calls and administrative messages, route documents per HIPAA.
