Job summary

Ipsen is seeking a Neuroscience Specialty Representative to join a nationwide sales team, managing the assigned territory from Charleston, WV. The role focuses on communicating Ipsen’s neuroscience products to healthcare providers and pharmacists while ensuring compliant, effective product use. The ideal candidate has a B.S.

or B.A. and 3+ years in pharmaceutical sales, with neuroscience and migraine experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
• Experience in neuroscience area strongly preferred.
• Experience promoting preventive treatments for migraine preferred.
• Ability to manage promoting pharmaceutical products in a buy-and-bill environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attain the designated goals for calls on appropriate HCPs to communicate balanced, accurate, and complete information on Ipsen’s products
• Execute calls on HCPs and pharmacists to provide product information and to assure the availability of Ipsen’s products in the territory
• Conduct in-depth conversations with physicians and other HCPs utilizing multiple data sets across a broad base of approved product indications
• Navigate through complex organization structures including hospitals and healthcare communities
• Manage the territory in an efficient and orderly manner, ascribing principles of key HCP/account prioritization, daily call reporting, and sample accountability. Develop and execute effective business plans
• Demonstrate completion of administrative requirements including budget management, logins, sample accounting, expense reports etc. within timelines and company guidelines
• Comply with all state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines including the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals as well as complying with all Ipsen’s standards and policies relating to all job activities
• Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions to optimize Ipsen product utilization
• Travel as needed for business
• Proficiency with computer systems and reporting tools
