Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals Brand is seeking a senior Sales Manager in Indiana to drive performance across a specialty sales team. The role emphasizes leadership of a CNS/psychiatry focus, strategic coaching, and cross-functional collaboration with providers and facilities.

You’ll recruit, develop and mentor high-performing representatives while meeting district goals. The position requires 10+ years in pharma, 4 years in sales leadership, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
• Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for Associate DSM.
• Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression, other specialty experience considered.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives.
• Documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
• Driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Ability to secure and maintain industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen.
• Must reside near major airport within the district.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment.
• Experience in small company and start-up work environments.
• Ability to travel up to 75%
