Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Pharmaceutical Sales professional to execute the company’s sales strategy in the Reading, PA territory. You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager to drive product promotions and optimize performance within the territory.

The role requires strong communication, a hunter mentality, and the ability to navigate complex markets. Travel is required, with focus on building access and reimbursement across healthcare systems.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA > 3.0 required.
• Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associate role possible otherwise.
• Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management experience.
• Reimbursement experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license; reside within territory.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy related to product promotion.
• Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
• Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
• Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to targeted audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Vanda policies.
• Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
• Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
