Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to support the H62/H63 Neurology Stepdown Units with front-line patient greeting, admissions, and records management. This role ensures smooth administrative flow so clinicians can focus on care.

You will handle calls, rounds, scheduling updates, and document preparation; basic computer tasks and troubleshooting equipment; requires a high school diploma and customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a customer service-related role.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and directing them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Handle various computer tasks, such as updating schedules and managing patient information.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.
