Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support the H62/H63 Neurology Stepdown Units with patient-centered administrative duties and exceptional service.

You will greet patients, respond to call lights, assist with admissions/transfers/discharges, manage patient records and schedules, and troubleshoot unit devices.

This full-time day role runs 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays, offering ongoing growth within a world-class healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a customer service-related role.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and directing them to resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and related documents.
• Handle various computer tasks, such as updating schedules and managing patient information.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and troubleshoot equipment failures (call system, portable phones, WOWs and other devices).
