Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Northampton, MA is hiring a full-time Clinic/Practice Assistant for the Neurology team at 22 Atwood Drive. You'll handle scheduling, check-in/out, patient greeting, and support the care team onsite.

This role does not involve direct patient care; you will manage clerical tasks, billing forms, and registration, with training available and opportunities to grow within the practice. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with a 40-hour work week and a focus on

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; CMAA certification preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of office experience required.
• Proficiency with all Office Suite applications and general office procedures (filing, copying, scanning, printing, faxing).
• Ability to use phone system and handle routine inquiries and messages.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine administrative and clerical duties for a clinical service or physician practice.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
• Greet and assist patients; manage check-in/check-out.
• Answer phones and assist callers with routine inquiries; schedule appointments.
• Process billing forms and scan documents to medical records.
• Handle messages related to authorizations, prescriptions, and test results.
• Act as Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems; provide training to others.
