Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals in Houston, TX is seeking an Associate Neurology Account Manager or Neurology Account Manager to drive product promotions and exceed territory goals. You will work with the Neuroscience District Sales Manager to deliver value to customers and patients through differentiated therapies.

The role requires a strong clinical, patient-centric approach, excellent communication, and the ability to travel locally; a BS/BA and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA above 3.0.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
• Self-starter with proven results.
• Hunter mentality and competitive drive.
• Strong territory relationships preferred.
• Ability to travel (overnights may be required).
• Occasional travel to HQs, training and meetings.
• Work hours may extend beyond normal hours; reside in territory.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize use in territory.
• Maintain current product, disease, competitive and reimbursement knowledge.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Communicate persuasively to identified audiences using advanced selling skills.
• Identify and leverage advocacy channels; ensure product access and reimbursement as needed.
• Fulfill reporting requirements and expenses using approved systems.
• Maintain compliance with laws and Vanda policies.
