Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking an Associate Neurology Account Manager or Neurology Account Manager to join our high-performance sales team in Houston, TX.

You will execute sales strategies in your territory, collaborate with the District Sales Manager, analyze local markets, and stay current on product, disease, and reimbursement knowledge to maximize product use. The role requires a BS/BA with GPA >3.0, a valid driver's license, and a hunter mentality with a proven track record of

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving history.
• Self-starter, goal and results driven with proven above-average results.
• Fortitude to sell and compete with a hunter mentality.
• Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
• Ability to travel, may include overnights.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy related to product promotion.
• Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
• Determine and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
• Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to target audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budgets and report expenses.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
