Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Hyde Park seeks a Staff Nurse for the 8N/8S Neuro ICU, a 24-bed unit dedicated to complex neurological care. This 100% onsite position requires you to be based in the greater Chicagoland area and to work nights in a high-acuity environment.

The staff nurse provides patient-centered care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and maintains professional standards while pursuing growth and innovation in a world-class academic healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Illinois RN license and BLS certification from AHA. ADN track with BSN progression if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop plans of care for neuro ICU patients.
• Support charge nurse responsibilities and act as a resource for peers.
• Engage in continuing education and participate in program evaluation.
