Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. You will care for critically ill neuroscience patients, including stroke and post-surgical cases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary NSICU team to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates have Neuro ICU experience, a Texas RN license (NLC eligible ok), BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. The role offers a robust benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas or via NLC required.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with ICU experience.
• 1+ year ICU RN experience; Neuro ICU strongly preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Develop and execute care plans with an interdisciplinary team.
• Prioritize interventions based on patient condition changes.
• Educate patients and families; discharge planning.
• Adhere to hospital policies and evidence-based practice.
