Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced RN for the Medical ICU Night shift. The MICU handles patients with multi-system failures and complex care needs, including post-transplant and sepsis cases. This role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and high-quality patient outcomes.

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus, full-time nights, and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants should have a Texas RN license, ICU experience, and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or eligible through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum 1 year of RN ICU experience; 2+ years ICU experience strongly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments for patients across the lifespan.
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document interventions accurately and coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Identify changes in patient condition and respond promptly with appropriate actions.
• Educate patients and families, and provide discharge planning and follow-up information.
