Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an RN for the ICU Float Pool to cover night shifts. This full-time role supports multiple inpatient units with cross-training across ICUs, med/surg, telemetry, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/nursing experience.
• Current Texas RN license or NLC eligibility.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Develops and modifies plan of care based on assessment and patient needs.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions and plans care accordingly.
• Documents interventions timely and accurately; coordinates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educates patients and families and communicates plan of care and progress.
