JOB SUMMARYThe Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) at UT Southwestern is one of the world’s premier neurological diagnostic and treatment centers. This role works collaboratively with the NSICU team to provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neuroscience patients.The NSICU specializes in neurosurgical procedures, neurologic medical conditions, and comprehensive stroke care, with a patient population that is approximately 70% surgical, with specialties in tumor, neurovascular, and spine surgeries. As a Comprehensive Stroke Center for North Texas, it provides specialized care for acute strokes requiring neurological monitoring, mechanical thrombectomy, or surgical decompression.
Ideal candidates will have recent Neuro ICU experience and a passion for caring for high-acuity neuroscience patients, including stroke, neuro-trauma, and post-neurosurgical populations.
