Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a pre-sales engineer to support HPE Networking account managers, partners, and customers through the sales cycle. You will develop account strategy, qualify opportunities, and drive technical wins, translating business drivers into technical solutions.

You will lead discovery sessions, perform technical assessments, design end-to-end HPE Networking solutions across campus, branch, wireless, routing, SD-WAN, and security domains, and collaborate with architects to produce

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong networking foundation including campus, wireless, routing and WAN.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, SASE, or Zero Trust architectures.
• Consultative engagement and discovery skills.
• Ability to translate complex tech into business value.
• Solution design and architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Support HPE Networking Account Managers, Channel Partners, and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Develop account strategy, qualify opportunities, and drive technical wins.
• Lead discovery sessions to uncover business drivers, technical requirements, and modernization goals.
• Conduct technical assessments and define solution approaches.
• Design and architect end-to-end HPE Networking solutions across campus, branch, wireless, routing, SD-WAN, and security domains.
• Recommend solutions aligned with customer business outcomes and modernization strategies.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and virtual engagements.
• Support proposals, RFP/RFI responses, bills of materials, and solution documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and specialists on complex opportunities.
• Maintain expertise across HPE Networking portfolios, including Juniper and Aruba.
• Stay current on AI-Ops, Zero Trust, NaaS, AI-driven networking, and campus fabric trends.
• Analyze competitive technologies and articulate HPE differentiation.
• Expand technical and industry expertise through certifications and professional development.
