Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) System Engineer II, Network supports network services across academic, research and healthcare missions. Under supervision, you will resolve complex issues, craft documentation and plans, and contribute to projects while ensuring high customer service and professional standards.

Responsibilities include routing, switching, VOIP, wireless networks, IP address management, VPN, firewalls and authentication services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6 years of directly related experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years, or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Four years of network experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports network services and resolves complex technical issues.
• Generates documentation, communications, processes and plans to mitigate change disruption.
• Participates in projects and team meetings; shares knowledge with peers and staff; maintains professional standards.
