Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a System Engineer II, Network to support MUSC’s network infrastructure. You will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining routing, switching, VOIP, firewall and wireless services while ensuring high availability and security. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

40-hour work week; salary position; regular shifts with potential for rotating shifts as required; located in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and six years directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree and two years directly related experience required; or a Masters’ Degree in a related field.
• Four years of Network experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers and monitoring applications.
• Knowledge of communication or information systems, voice and data networking operations.
• Knowledge and technical expertise in networking protocols, security, and wireless communications.

• Ensure timely resolution of network issues.
• Participate in projects and meetings; transfer knowledge to peers.
