Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Current experience providing Level two technical desktop and network support in a large multi-platform environment or one year with a Microsoft Certified Professional certificate.
• Thorough knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, computer troubleshooting and operating systems.
• Understanding of basic networking as it relates to computers and peripherals; TCP/IP is required.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems encountered by end-users.
• Configure and install Windows workstations and associated peripherals for end-users.
• Log requests, monitor progress, track problem resolution, and communicate with manager on unresolved issues.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware OS issues and test possible solutions; analyze bugs and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with IS staff to solve hardware and application problems for end-user computing needs.
• Recommend enhancements to system capabilities and performance; optimize computer usage.
• Enforce network security and installation procedures; participate in relevant projects.
