Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement a robust security architecture across on-premises and cloud environments, working alongside engineering through build and cutover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 7+ years in an Information Security Architect role
• 7+ years with regulatory compliance and security frameworks (NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT)
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols, design concepts, and access control
• Security technologies including encryption and data protection
• Windows and Linux systems knowledge
• Experience with APIs
• One or more Palo Alto Network certifications (PCNSA/PCNSE/PCCSE/PCSAE)
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP CSPs
• DevSecOps experience

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up: firewall policy/config, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud Ntwk in Azure.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, target state, build configuration, and cutover management.
• Collaborates with engineering through build and implementation, adjusting designs in real time.
• Reviews existing architecture, identifies gaps, designs remediation including debt cleanup.
• Assesses, scopes, and estimates work to deliver security components.
• Acts as technical expert to engineering, IT, and business partners on security questions.
• Documents architecture with detailed configuration and diagrams.
• Handles RSA tickets in ServiceNow and related efforts.
