Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build the security fabric underpinning our operations, from firewall and segmentation to cloud networking in Microsoft Azure.

You will collaborate with engineering during implementation, bridging architecture and execution, and document both conceptual and detailed configurations for ongoing operations. This role requires deep hands-on expertise, 7+ years in information security, and the ability to lead technical migrations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in an Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Hands-on experience with firewall platforms, segmentation, and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems; familiarity with regex and JSON.
• One or more CSP certifications such as PCNSA/PCNSE/CISSP/GIAC.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy, segmentation, and cloud networking in Azure.
• Leads end-to-end technical migrations: assess, design, configure, and manage cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering through build and implementation, bridging architecture and execution.
• Reviews existing architectures, identifies gaps, and designs remediation including dealing with legacy configurations.
• Documents architecture in both conceptual and detailed configuration formats, not just high-level diagrams.
• Works RSA tickets in ServiceNow and stays current on emerging security technologies.
