Network Provisioning Engineer — Activation & Testing

Job summary

REV is seeking a provisioning engineer to oversee moderately to highly complex circuit provisioning orders, configure services across voice, data and internet, and ensure dependable activation on the network.

You will collaborate with field engineers, NOC, and customer service teams to coordinate activations, migrations and upgrades, interpret service orders, maintain provisioning databases, and verify service delivery against SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a provisioning, network operations, or telecommunications engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (IP, MPLS, VLANs), and telecom services (DSL, Fiber, T1, Ethernet, VoIP).
• Experience with OSS/BSS platforms, provisioning systems, and ticketing tools.
• Familiarity with telecom hardware vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran) and configuration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provision and configure customer and network services on telecommunications platforms (OSS/BSS, routers, switches, VoIP).
• Coordinate service activations, migrations, and upgrades with field engineers, NOC, and customer service teams.
• Interpret service orders and translate them into technical configurations.
• Maintain provisioning databases and documentation.
• Conduct service verification testing to ensure proper functionality and adherence to SLAs.
• Troubleshoot provisioning issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support network expansion and upgrade initiatives through provisioning tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation and provisioning workflows.
