Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a motivated intern for Summer 2027 in SeaTac, WA. The program runs 12 weeks full-time with two timelines to fit different academic calendars. Relocation may be required to participate in the internship.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree with a focus in communications, digital media, public relations, marketing, or a related area.
• Strong writing and editing.
• Social media savvy.
• Research skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting news releases and external stories to promote Alaska’s brand and initiatives.
• Support the communications team in managing media requests, preparing briefing materials, and media relationships.
• Contribute to the strategy plan for content creators, including content planning and creator management.
• Support communications team onsite at various community and company events.
