Job summary

HCLTech in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to monitor server health and network availability using NMS, identify incidents, and coordinate rapid resolutions. You will work rotating shifts and collaborate with Tier teams to maintain service levels.

The role requires strong LAN/WAN, routing, firewall knowledge, and excellent communication. Experience with Jira/ServiceNow and incident bridges is a plus. Eligible for standard benefits and PTO per policy.

Qualifications

Experience operating Network Management Systems (NMS) to monitor health and availability.
Experience documenting incidents, assessing severity, and performing first-level troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, routing/switching protocols, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

Oversee server health, bandwidth, and application availability using NMS.
Identify anomalies, document incidents, assess severity, and troubleshoot.
Participate in major incident bridges and status calls for Priority 1/2 incidents.
Route unresolved complex issues to Tier 2/3 or external vendors.
Maintain knowledge bases, log tickets (Jira, ServiceNow), and generate reports on network health.
Communicate effectively with end users and team members to coordinate resolutions.
Adhere to SLAs and multitask across competing priorities.
