Job summary

Acestack is seeking a Network Engineer in Reno, NV to manage and optimize our enterprise networks. The role focuses on Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, and wireless networks, with strong emphasis on VPN design and Infoblox DDI administration.

You will troubleshoot complex issues in live environments, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure robust security and networking performance across data centers and remote sites.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience implementing and supporting Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting).
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Palo Alto Firewalls (security policies, NAT, VPN, Panorama).
• Manage and support enterprise wireless networks (Cisco/Aruba), including RF optimization and high-density deployments.
• Design and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs with third-party interoperability.
• Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) including grid management and failover.
• Lead hands-on P1 troubleshooting across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues during high-pressure scenarios.
• Investigate causes, test solutions, and propose fixes to reduce resolution time.
• Manage new and existing equipment and perform hardware/software upgrades.
• Align with support priorities and drive operational objectives.
• Lead and drive operational issues proactively with stakeholders during live troubleshooting.
• Assist Level 1 and Level 2 teams to address network-related issues.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of routing and switching protocols.
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to customers.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Expert in implementing, and support Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting).
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls including:
  • Security policies, NAT, routing
  • VPN (IPSec, site-to-site, remote access)
  • Panorama management and threat prevention profiles
• Manage and support enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent), including RF optimization, roaming, and high-density deployments.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, including third-party interoperability.
• Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) including grid management, failover, and automation integration.
• Lead hands-on P1 troubleshooting for complex network issues across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains.
• Real-time packet capture skills to investigate complex issues during live P1 calls. (Wireshark)

Required Technical Skills

Roles & Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting the Level 3 and advanced network issues and performing call backs ensuring issues are resolved & appropriate solution is provided to the customer in a high pressure factory environments
• Responsible for investigating causes, tests solutions & suggest solutions in place to reduce the time taken to resolve the network related tickets.
• Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and network device software upgrades.
• Understanding Network support priorities and objectives and taking an active role in accomplishing them.
• Should be able to lead and drive technically the Operational issues on his own in a high pressure environment engaging multiple stakeholders during live troubleshooting.
• Help level 1 & level 2 resources to address the Network related issues.
• Strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols required.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
