Northern Base in the United States is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure in a high-demand environment.

The role covers Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless networks, Infoblox DDI, and VPNs, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead critical incidents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, resilient connectivity across LAN/WAN/DC and cloud integrations.

Qualifications

  • Expert in implementing and supporting Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs).
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including VPNs, NAT, and policies.
  • Design and troubleshoot IPsec VPNs and multi-vendor interoperability.
  • Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM administration and grid management.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues during high-pressure factory environments.
  • Investigate causes, test solutions, and propose fixes to reduce resolution time.
  • Upgrade and manage network equipment and device software.
  • Align with priorities and collaborate with stakeholders during incidents.
  • Lead operational issues during live troubleshooting with cross-team coordination.
  • Assist Level 1 & 2 resources with network problems.
  • Maintain strong routing and switching protocol knowledge.
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly to others.
  • Be resourceful and work independently with attention to detail.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Expert in implementing, and support Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting).
  • Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls including:
    • Security policies, NAT, routing
    • VPN (IPSec, site-to-site, remote access)
    • Panorama management and threat prevention profiles
  • Manage and support enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent), including RF optimization, roaming, and high-density deployments.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, including third-party interoperability.
  • Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) including grid management, failover, and automation integration.
  • Lead hands-on P1 troubleshooting for complex network issues across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains.
  • Real-time packet capture skills to investigate complex issues during live P1 calls. (Wireshark)
Required Technical Skills
  • Cisco SDA: DNA Center, ISE integration, fabric edge/control nodes, policy troubleshooting OR Cisco ACI: APIC, EPGs, contracts, fabric health, L2/L3 connectivity
  • Palo Alto Firewalls: PAN-OS, Panorama, security policies, IPSec VPN, NAT
  • Wireless: Enterprise WLAN design, RF analysis, troubleshooting
  • VPN: IPSec site-to-site, remote access, multi-vendor environments
  • Infoblox: DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid Master, HA
  • Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, multicast
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting the Level 3 and advanced network issues and performing call backs ensuring issues are resolved & appropriate solution is provided to the customer in a high pressure factory environments
  • Responsible for investigating causes, tests solutions & suggest solutions in place to reduce the time taken to resolve the network related tickets.
  • Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and network device software upgrades.
  • Understanding Network support priorities and objectives and taking an active role in accomplishing them.
  • Should be able to lead and drive technically the Operational issues on his own in a high pressure environment engaging multiple stakeholders during live troubleshooting.
  • Help level 1 & level 2 resources to address the Network related issues.
  • Strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols required.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
  • Should be able to lead and drive the Operational issues on his own.
