Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Network Development Engineer to help sustain and scale AWS Backbone networks.

You will partner with automation teams and other engineers to roll out designs, deploy tools, and support incident resolution at scale. The role requires 4+ years in internet routing protocols, Linux/Unix, and hands-on deployment experience in large corporate networks, plus scripting (Python, Bash).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 4+ years of network engineering and deployments for large-scale networks.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.
• Experience deploying and operating networking software tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, or optimization.
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, and configurations.
• Collaborate with automation teams to scale tooling and processes.
• Maintain and review documentation for deployments and standard procedures.
