Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a System Development Engineer to join the Backbone Enterprise, and Regional Engineering (BERE) team.

You will partner with infrastructure, software, and systems engineers to automate, sustain, and roll out network designs, and to deploy networking software tools in a large-scale cloud environment. The role emphasizes building scalable, reliable systems, rapid collaboration across teams, and maintaining standards for network tooling and procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in professional software development.
• Design or architecture experience for scalable systems.
• Experience with networking, storage, OS.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality network and/or systems automation and sustaining engineering.
• Create and implement automation changes on the network.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, implementation, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS networks for major customers and mitigate large-scale events.
• Develop automation for routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations.
