Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) GCNA is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join our Backbone Enterprise and Regional Engineering teams. You will help deploy scalable network designs and sustain networking software for AWS customers, collaborating across Infrastructure and Software engineers.

You will work with 4+ years in routing protocols, Linux environments, and large-scale network deployments, plus scripting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 4+ years network engineering and deployments for large-scale networks.
• 1+ years automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.
• 4+ years developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network and/or networking systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality network and systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best practices application, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and documentation.
• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Collaborate with automation teams to scale tools.
• Lead network projects in deployment/implementation, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS networks for large customers by diagnosing, mitigating, and resolving incidents.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations.
