Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Network Development Engineer to help deploy and scale network infrastructure across AWS global fabrics.

You will work with Backbone Enterprise, and Regional Engineering to translate designs into production, building repeatable deployment processes and partner with automation teams to enable high-volume rollout. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and strong knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), Linux/Unix environments, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols.
Experience with major internet routing protocols (BGP/OSPF).
Experience with network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Junos).
Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Responsibilities

Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting AWS services.
Deploy, scale and automate network across global datacenters.
Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
Create simple, repetitive deployment processes for velocity and quality.
Collaborate with internal customers to bring designs from concept to production.
Update and enforce network standards and deployment procedures.
Define tools with automation teams to enable higher-volume scaling.
